At True North VBS, we will go on

the ultimate Alaskan adventure

where the northern lights shine

over majestic mountains, racing

rivers, and sparkling glaciers. As

we trek the tundra, we'll discover

how easy it is to lose sight of what's

true in the wild world we live in.

Guiding kids towards Jesus, True North VBS reveals that He is a faithful friend we can always trust. He's our True North!

Since True North VBS doesn’t rely on more traditional teaching methods, kids experience Bible stories in powerful, life-changing ways. And that’s something kids of all ages will enjoy...And remember, this also means kids may get a little messy so be sure to send them in play clothes and sturdy shoes!

One thing that stands out about True North VBS at Hilmar Covenant is how your child is placed in a mixed-age group called a Crew. These crews are made up of 5 children, ranging in grades kinder through 5th grade and led by teens or adults that have a heart for children and love Jesus!

 

By created mixed-age Crews, kids develop new friendships, older kids shine and younger kids are cared for!  We see the older kids rise to a place of leadership as they are looked up to as 'cool older kids' and are able to help the younger kids in small tasks. Most of us assume that age-graded classes are the best way to go, simply because that has been our only experience. However, studies show that children learn as much-or more-when they're linked with kids of different ages. 

 

Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us our Campus Closing each day at 11:45am, a daily celebration that will point us to our True North, Jesus! ​

So mark these dates on your calendar: June 15 - 19. The fun starts at 9am and will end at 12:00pm. Also mark, June 22nd from 10-11am for VBS Sunday; one more hour of VBS fun in which kids get to show parents all they learned throughout the week! 

 

We cant wait for the life-changing adventure that will take place here at Hilmar Covenant. We hope you'll join us!
