CARE MINISTRIES

What is it?
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grieving the death of a loved one. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.
What to Expect
GriefShare is part seminar and part support group. The seminar portion is presented through videos, providing teaching on topics related to death and grief. The support group segment allows participants to talk through issues and feelings related to their own grief.

Carolyn Scott Ahlem, a licensed marriage, family therapist who specializes in the area of grief and loss, will lead the series. She has been in private practice since 1976, helping many to heal, grow, and make necessary life changes. Carolyn remarks that "When we lose someone we love, we feel crushed and broken. We wonder how we will survive. Will we ever laugh or feel joy again? If we will cooperate with the natural grief process, the answer is a resounding 'YES!'" Meeting together and learning what to expect on the journey through grief can provide much needed support, reassurance, and encouragement for those who attend.
GriefShare will start back up soon...stay tuned
